Itasca Navion Dodge Sprinter Chassis

Trans won't shift down and engine is losing power - can drive by manually shifting to lower gears on hills etc. Engine check lite is on when engine is running. What is the problem?

sounds kind of like a governor pressure solenoid or possible worn out fluid or pluged filter. Maybe something else in the valve body, Call the local dealer.
