I have a 91 Stealth RT with 71,000 miles. I have seen this post a few times and wonder if anyone knows how to keep the suspension in tour mode only? I have checked all connectors and cannot find a loose connection. The tour/sport mode just continues to flash. I unplugged the module in the trunk and now have no flashing lights, but due to the "rougher" ride I have to believe that the suspension defaults to sport mode. Also, if i take the (3) 3/8 nuts off of the front suspension module covers (black round rubber cover) will the cover come off so I can view the connections inside? I have only examined the plug connections.I also viewed the capacitors in the trunk module and all of them appear to be in good shape,no bulging or burnt marks.
If they've never been replaced, they could still be bad. Sometimes it is very hard to see the leakage and it doesn't take much for them to send errant voltages causing problems. Only a few things cause a blinky tour/sport light: bad connection on a strut, bad ECS module, malfunction with the strut.
whats a malfunction wiyh a strut?
mine blinked i replaced the computer, still blinks.
unplugged computer for now. i dont know how to check the struts......
i took the black cups off the strut towers and found broken wires on eack connector. now where to go from here, hou where do you go to buy new pieces?>
