new tune up plugs wires before i owned car. hesitation while rolling into throttle with poping comming form exhaust.
ignition timing? how what to check?
friend foolowing car said it smelled bad giong down road and it might be too lean?

 

seems to stutter bad between 1000 to 3000rpm.
ecm and edc were replaced 3 weeks ago as well.
when coming to a stop i put ther car in Nuetral and the tach junps from 1500 to 27oorpm not a steady idle. what is this?????

 

not sure if this cars have them but could be something like tpi sensor or idle air control. it might be strugling to get the fuel flowing for some reason. was it doing it before computer replacement

 

yes it was, the ecmu was supposewd to fix it.
what doyuo plug into these cars to tell whats wrong and how much are they?

There is the procedure for checking trouble codes on an ODB1 car.
Your car is a first generation isn't it??

Just follow the procedure and you should have no problems.

Just for grins, try unhooking the wiring harness to your ECS computer and see in the hesitation goes away.

 

its already unhookrd

 

Could it be avacuum leak?
