I've never heard any V6 that really sounds like a muscle car...it just doesn't happen.

Get a downpipe, see how it sounds. If you don't like how it sounds, then put in a test pipe, see how it sounds. If it's still where you want it, go for a new catback. Whatever you do, leave some sort of resonator in place, like the stock exhaust has. If you don't, it will sound like rice, especially at cruise...

Just remember, test pipes are for offroad only.

i think puting in empty cat and 3 1/2 inch tip instead of muffler makes the car sound nice, My current exhaust setup sound better al low speeds but as soon as i get to 80mph+ it starts to sound wierd. I wish i stoped at empty cat and no muffler setup

so there arent any good headers for the N/A 3.0 is basically it? Im not puttin alot of power into this car as it is my wifes car..im planning on takin the motor out and massaging it a lil bit but thats about it..maybe a lil bore...and deck the block to get back my compression nothing serious dont need her to wreck it...
Can anyone recommend a good CAI for this car and any other slight performance modz.(bolt ons).?

3SX makes headers for the DOHC's. They are pretty proud of them (pricewise) and have yet had them on a dyno to see how much power they free up. Intakes are intakes, you won't see much of a gain, but it will "sound" faster. Check out the NA upgrade bible pinned at the top of this forum, it has about all there really is for upgrading any NA.
