I have a 91 Stealth, it's something I bought from a salvage yard expecting to buy parts at any parts store, however, I didn't know that Dodge built an experimental stealth during the first production year. I've had to buy nearly every part I've needed from the dealer, and it's concidered a vintage vehicle now which drove the prices sky high. I know, I've been told by certified Dodge mechanics that Dodge never made an experimental stealth, however, after nearly four months of taking this car from dealer to dealer to dealer, and having one mechanic tell me the part I had in my hand "didn't come from no stealth", I finally found a 'parts guy' that took up the challenge of finding out what this car is. He and I took nearly two hours of searching through the microfish for the parts I needed, and after I left, he made some calls to the Dodge corporation to find out more about the car.
I spoke with the representative at the Dodge corporation and he assured me that this car is one of a handfull of experimental stealths that were built at the very beginning of production, and it is extremely, EXTREMELY, rare. (They strongly suggested I have it appraised), and I plan to. I put alot of money into rebuilding the engine and transmission, fixed the body and sprayed new paint.
It turned out to be a great investment, not to mention a 150+ MPH screamer.
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!! Yahooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like an interesting find. Can you take some pictures of the exterior and the engine so I can see if there are any obvious differences? What is so strange about it, is all (or nearly all if you are correct) Stealths were built right along side the 3000gt's in Nagoya, Japan. I'm really interested in seeing this car.

I picked up a 94 R/T turbo back in October:

oh yeah, has less than 27,000 miles. It is also had Hennessey parts added to the car:

I have researched and Hennessey did indeed have a performance package available for the Stealth back in the day. I have contacted them but they never keep records back then like the do now. Either way I LOVE my Stealth.

I have a 1992 Twin Turbo that I picked up in 2001 from the original owner. 48,000 miles when I bought it. Nice car, fun to drive, expensive to repair. But I love it.

I've got a 94' stealth and trying to build a fleet. my goal is to have every year of both the stealth a 2000gt. I know i must be nuts but i used to race suped up hoindas and acuras with the works but they were nothing compared to these! theres something about the comrodery you get when someone who has one acknowleledges you going down the rode. reminds me of riding a bike with my dad before he passed. IT'S UNREAL!!!!!!!!
