non turbo dohc v-6 superchargers or turbo kits
does anyone make aftermarket superchargers or turbo kits for non-turbo dohc v-6??? are they easy to install, or should you just buy a tt car??? just asking. i would like to get a little more snap from my 93 r/t. jury is still out on my son's car, ecm is at ecmtogo still, i hope to have the car running soon!!! i'll keep everyone informed. p.s. i will have a 94 non-turbo v-6 (70k) for sale, with a new timing belt-tensioner-pulleys-water pump-head gaskets etc...., along with a 94 engine wiring harness, anybody interested?? also have a 92 autotrans that i don't need, not sure of condition, it came with my son's 92 r/t deal. i also have front and rear seats(leather)bone in color rear seats are in good condition-pass seat is in very good condition and of course the driver seat is in bad shape. let me know if anyone is interested???? thanks!
Ive never seen a actual turbo kit for our cars. You can do it though its not hard expecially if you ahve a local shop around that is willing. From what ive heard the single turbo cars dont like to run that great turst me i went down that path. cheack out 3sx a customer there singe turboed his car and he has never been able to get it to run right. As for the supercharger kits yea you can get um they run 4k$ and are onlyt recomended at 10psi on stock internals rippmods have them or used to not sure if they still do. www.boostheads.com has them and most of the ones running at 10psi are running low 14's high 13's but you need a hood scoop like off a mustang gt he sent me pics they actually look ncie if you get them molded on. The guy will b!tch at you about putting a 6g74 in your car that way you can run more boost and stuff but just tell him to shut up or he never will. as for the 94 is it a rt or base? and how much
Why search for an aftermarket turbo kit, when Mitsu made one from the factory? Using parts off a stock TT or VR4 is the most economical way to boost your ride.
Yeah but a lot of people might now want to go through the hassel of searching for and buying all of oem turbo parts. Much easier if a kit was put together with everything required to do so.
...but buying "everything to do so" from a shop is going to cost a small fortune. It would be much cheaper to just buy a TT, you'll get the turbo's and the AWD.
Yeah which is defiently the smart choice just to buy TT. But to me going from sohc or dohc to TT and AWD is more fun even if its expensive. Im working on the dohc engine right now, then our mechanic is gonna drop it and do tt and awd conversion once the money comes.
