I replaced the caps in the ECU, and the car runs good not great but only without theMAF connected when I connected the MAF I can hear the fuel pump relay clicking on and off and the car will die without throttle help any, I alreayd put another MAF in the car and it still does the same thing, I think I just may have a bad ECU. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Is there anyone you know local with a compatible ECU? Maybe they would let you swap it out just to see if that is in fact the problem.

I wish there was but no, It almost has to be a prob in the ECU other than the caps, that or another bad MAF

Yeah, it could be 2 bad MAF's...but what are the chances.

Sometimes you can find ECU's at places like OReilly, Autozone, NAPA, etc. I bought one for my TT at OReilly for about $250.

If the caps leaked enough, they could have shorted one of the daughter boards out, or ate through the traces in the PCB. Who replaced the caps on your ECU?
