I have a 1992 Stealth ES with 114,000 miles on it. Lately the speedometer has been working erratically. It will work fine then stop. It then may start working again for a short while. I also notice that when the speedometer is not operating the odometer also stops working. I had the transmission replaced about a year ago. I think the cable enters into the trans case. The cable does not looked kinked. Is the problem likely to be the cable or the speedometer unit itself? Thanks for your help.
