Default Avenger headlight housing

My headlight covers are faded out real bad, Is whatever that is making them fade on the outside or the inside...I read the post about using the different sizes of wetsandpaper to fix this problem, But i was just curious if I clean the outside of the covers, will they look new again.. The headlight housing is bonded together, is there anyway to maybe get them apart by heating the seam?
Thanks for the time.

as long as there is no condensation in the actual housing or foggin like when u breathe on a window then its just surface abrasion on the outside and yes wetsand it with the finest grit sandpaper u can find, i think i used 2000 grit or somethin like that. but after u wetsand the housings shoot em with a coat of clearcoat or somethin to protect them for clouding again. also wax them everytime you wax ur car, it helps build a protective layer of wax on them so the clouding process slows down

Wetsand with 400-600-800-1000-2000 in stages and use Megiuars scratch-x or the likes to polish and then clearcoat em and voila new lenses.
