I am having a similar problem right now with my '91 stealth r/t dohc 5-speed. It turns out that my alternater is over powering my battery. So my battery is sweating hard and boiling over. I has enough charge to start the vehicle but when i turn the key...nothing. Not even a click. I also noticed that when the car is on and the key is in the ignition the key itslef gets hot. Anyways, this confused the hell out of me..took me 3 months to figure out what was wrong. Hope it helps you.
