well im going to be geting my 1st car sumtime time this month and we have been looking at a 93 stealth rt with 45000 miles and a 98 trans am and a 99 camaro ss. i was wonder how a non tubo stealth would do up against a v8 trnas am and the camaro ss?

 

hmmm..i cant recall if the SS would be an LS1 or not....what do you want the car to be good at? do you want a quarter mile monster? what trannies do these cars have?

 

yes it is a LS1. i do plan on drag raceing so i do need a good 1/4 mile car. but also cant b horible on gas. it would b a every day car so it needs to b reliable. im looking at the stealths because they r small sporty cars and get ok gas milage. im looking at the trans and camaro for there power a looks

 

A NA stealth RT has 222 hp in a 3300lb car.

I think simple math will tell you how that will do vs any LS1 powered f-body.

 

how much do the f bodies way?

 

a friend of mine is a big F body guy, and he said that a 99 SS with an auto trans weighs about 3510.

C&D lists a 98 SS at 13.6, not sure of the tranny in that, but a LS1 will destroy anything associated with chrysler in the last 20 years stock, within reason, except for the viper...
