Default How the heck did the stealth get so expensive?

I at one time owned a twin turbo fully customized dodge stealth I dumped about 25 grand into.

I sold it about 10 years ago.

Now I wanted a new TT because I always loved them and thought it would make a good DD, and hot damn, they are more expensive than they were 10 years ago!

Finding a dodge stealth TT is 8-12k on a good day, with better condition ones closer to 20.

What the heck happened??? lol... The stealth used to be the best bang for the buck car of any in the late 90s!

what years are you looking at? And they are certainly not more expensive than they were 10 years ago, not even close.

I paid 2600 for my 93 ES in 2001, and about 7k for my TT in 2003.

Now 92 R/Ts are 6,500 in my area (http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/2618274993.html) , and I havent even been able to find a TT, but VR4s are 13k (http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/2578346739.html). Heck, I test drove one at 34k (VR4 Spyder) before deciding on a new 2010 camaro SS.

If I could find an AWD TT for the price I bought mind for, I'd buy it in a heart beat. I thought prices would have gone down on them, but I guess they are just getting to the age where prices are going up, plus the new market is up.

I don't know where you are located, but I will have a red stealth TT for sale around $7k in a few weeks, if you are interested. You can have it bone stock for $7k, or 450hp'ish for around $15k

I live in cincinnati, so 7 hours from you? But I drive to NY all the time.

It looks like I'm buying a new Z06 on monday, and then I need to sell my jeep and two of my fieros. If I sell those I'll have the cash to buy the TT. Just keep me posted on the car for sale and I may be interested!

Thanks!
