Dodge StealthThe car that can still draw looks from auto enthusiasts everywhere, the Dodge Stealth. From the Naturally Aspirated version to the Twin Turbo, the Dodge Stealth has a little something for everyone.
I am new to these forums and I just purchased a 95 dodge stealth, automatic, base model. Its got 67k on it. I bought it from someone who was the only owner of it. Within the 2 weeks I got it, the check engine light went on, and 2 weeks later, it went up in white smoke from underneath the hood (after i went up a large hill). I have been told by the previous owner that the thermostate and gasket has been replaced? But under the hood there was coolant everywhere. Has this happened to anyone? Ive only had this car for less than a month and now im stuck with a broken stealth.... why would it break down on me if its only got 67 k??? Replies would be much appreciated!!!
Sounds like either the headgasket went (which is very common on the base models/SOHC engines), or the water pump got smoked. With 67k miles, they may have not ever thought to do it yet.
