Default Best product for lower plastic on Stealth

I'm in the process of fixing scratches, door dinngs, ect, on the exterior. The lower half of the car is not metal but plastic. What is the best product to use to clean and shine this type of material? In the past I have used a product(Mothers?)that is supposed to be good at doing this but it left a "oily" residue and was hard to buff out. I was told you have to let it cure and then buff out. Does anyone know of a better product? Someone suggested using a paint polish but am afraid it will turn cloudy. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help!

I've always waxed my cars with Zymol wax. It's never left any residue or turned the paint cloudy.
