Default running problems

MY 91 STEALTH ES STARTS UP FINE BUT AFTER A MINUTE OR TWO ITS STARTS TO CUT OUT AND THE ENGINE TRIES TO SHUT DOWN THE SRS LIGHT IS ON NOW AND THERE IS A SMALL MODULE ON THE SIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE CONSOLE UNDER THE CARPETED COVER THAT CLICKS RAPIDLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS TRYING TO SHUT DOWN.

Default RE: running problems

No need to yell. (all caps)

This sounds like what happened to my Green RT last year. It ended up being faulty capacitors on the ECU and ECS control boards. The caps. start leaking onto the circuit board and wreak all kinds of havoc. If left, they electrolyte (stuff that leaks) will permanently damage teh printed circuit board. Some auto parts stores (such as OReilly, Autozone, etc.) offer rebuilt ECU's. I opted to ship mine to ECMtogo to have them rebuilt. I shipped all three computers to them, ECU, ECS and TCU (tranny computer) for capacitor replacement.

The clicking is coming from the fuel pump relay, as the ecu cuts fuel flow.
