Default need help

i just got done instaling the new alternator and belts. the car hasent been ran in a month. we took it for a drive that lasted about 30 mins and when we pulled in the drive way it died. what would cause that? my dad thinks it needs a tune up. also the battery started out haveing 14 volts when we left and only 12 when we came back why is that? could it be the new cd player?

Only one will spin normally. We have what is known as an "open" differential, meaning the side that can spin, will.

As for the voltage drop, chances are, when the car sat for awhile, the battery drained a little. Once you started driving, the alternator was producing extra "power" to charge the battery, once the correct voltage was reached, the voltage dropped to 12V.

As for it dying when you got home...?? Dunno man. Did it start back up?? Is it running OK now?? Let me know.

In situations like this, I always recommend starting with the basics...plugs, wires, filters (fuel and air) and going from there.
