Default Camshaft Pin Broke ???

Hi guys....sorry for creating a new post...but need an opinion here...

This is in reference to my last add about "White Smoke" car was supposed to be finished today....I wached the mechanic as he turned the car on, had it run for a minute and then stoped....the inboard lower camshaft pin on the timing belt wheel broke.

He sayd that since he installed a new timing belt..wich he did...it might have put more stress then as it did before with an used timing belt and therefore it broke the pin. I dont know what to believe...I know those pins not supposed to brake that eassy. Did they mess something up..like miss installed or forgat to install something. And when I pick up the car what specificaly should I look for ?
