Hi i recently just bought a 1993 dodge stealth DOHC ES and i replaced the motor and i am having a problem starting it. I bought the motor off ebay for 2 grand and i bought a new starter new ground, wires, plugs, coils, underdrive pulley,HKS Tailpipe, rewired fuel pump togged switch, and brand new rebuilt engine. Now my fuel pump works and im not getting a spark im not sure what is wrong i checked the harness that plugs into the metal holder of the three coil packs and it lights up when the engine turns over but doesnt start when everything is hooked up i have all sensors in place. I checked the ECU to see if it smells burnt but it look fine i even looked in it to see if anything was burn or anything perfect. Now i am having some ****ty sound for the back of the motor like the pistons or valves or something it hitting or maybe it could be something else non hurtful but i need to know what i can do to get it to start i was going to check the power transmitter. Now i have the downpipe off if that makes any difference but it turns off and just cranks and every once couple turns it will have a poping sound from the back of the engine. i am so sick of this car because all the crazy stuff and time i put into it. PLEASE someone help me get this baby running.

Thanks, Mike Collins

i just check all the wires to the coils they are getting power but there is not spark coming out of the coils. They are brand new i was thinking maybe something could be wrong with the ECU maybe something else possibly

RE: New motor cranks turns no spark
What year engine did you put in it?? Is the Crank Angle Sensor on the passenger side on the rear head?? If it is not, you got an engine from a 94 or newer and it will not work without making some changes.
