Default 91 Stealth ES ?

I have a 91 Stealth ES with 111K miles on it. I'm having my front bearings replaced next week but I have some other questions. My passanger side headlight will come on but not flip up. I'm thinking it is the headlight motor b/c I can hear it clicking when I turn it on. I saw one on ebay for $20-30 new and it said it was for that year range. Does this seem right on the price and what the problem is? Also the black trim around the car is faded terribly and some of it is cracking off like at the base of the window. Any ideas on how to fix either prob semi cheap? or does the metal trim just need to be some how painted and if so how do I go about doing so. Last question are there any web sites out there that will have replacement parts or do I have to go through the dealer and get ripped off? Thanks for the help in advance.

Default RE: 91 Stealth ES ?

It sounds like your diagnosis is correct about the headlight motor. I think there is a way to manually raise it, you might want to try doing that to make sure the mechanism is in a bind.

Either Meguirs or Mothers has a product called "Back to Black," I've heard it works really well. Available at most parts stores.

Both of my cars have the paint coming off of the trim piece you describe. I've thought about using a Dremel, smoothing it out and repainting. You can also buy new ones, but they too will eventually chip off.

Rockville Mitsubi**** is the dealer I use for dealer only items. Fair prices and good customer service.
3SX performance has aftermarket and stock parts.
Dynamic Racing has mostly aftermarket parts.
IPS Motorsports has mostly aftermarket parts as well.
