I have a 91 stealth es and it tops out at 120mph exactly i was wondering if thats the top or is there something i need to tune?

 

I have a 93 se I bought new w/ no adjustments and I have had it to 137 MPH this was on a slight downhill grade on the interstate, with AC off and just waxed. Not sure if there is anything to adjust and from what I have heard about chips and intake fans you might get a couple more MPH out of it, but not worth the $.

 

tokex420, is your car an automatic?

 

Also, isnt the 91 es the 160 or so hp SOHC v6?

Es are dohc, only the base are 164hp sohc.

 

my es does the same thing. it gets to 120mph then it starts to slow down. what is the problem is it becuase the automatics have a less higher top speed? i have got it to 140mph once but it wont do it again. should it be able to do more?

 

i have a 93 ES and i have hit 125.

 

I forgot that automatics are slower then manuals, thx guys.
