I know this is a stupid question but I have the factory intake box and a k&n sqaure filter, if i cut some holes or a big hole in the box would more air get into the air filter, cuz i dont have the money to just buy a inatke off ebay, and would it do anything

 

if you cut the holes BEFORE the filter, than yes, more air would get to it. I suggest you cut the "air traps" off. I'm not sure if these cars have them, but my 1gen eclipse did. I don't have a stealth in my possesion as of right now to compare. I'm just going off what my eclipse had. I know, there are no similarities but still. To answer if it would help any: yes a LITTLE not much but its better than nothing. If your looking for a cheap(and cheaply made) intake, go to auto zone and get their intake kit. they have a mock-up for $10 and if you buy three pieces, you get a mail-in rebate for the mock-up. Its better than nothing til you can afford a real intake.

 

Air traps? what does that look like and whats a mock up kit, is it just a cheap intake and how much much would that be.
