Default MAFS filters

I never noticed before, but you are supposed to have 4 honeycomb filters in your MAFS, mine doesn't ( i think that solves my rough idle Situation ) so where can i buy these little filters that are supposed to be there?

They aren't really filters, more like air flow straighteners...if that makes sense. I'd call around to some salvage yards.

Let me check with a few guys I know. They may have a spare MAF laying around. I don't know if they will just part with the honeycombs, or if they'll sell it as a whole... I'll get back too ya.

Is there any way some one could post a picture of what these small filter/Air straightener things look like... or a picture of a MAF with them inside. Just so i don't end up buying something i really don't need.

yes, Exactly. if that was a pic of the inside of the MAF then yes. I don't have anything through my MAF and i can see the little "sensor" thing that comes down of the top.

Well in your personal opinion, thestealth, do you think this could actually cause a rough idle? do you think it is necessary is it necessary?

Personal opinion..? I would say that the engineers who designed the car know a lot more than me. They surely put it there for a reason...

That doesn't mean that I don't think wtf sometimes at how they engineered some things.
