Default Official stealth tear down and rebauild page!

The work offically started liek a week ago but im a lil slow seeing as im still in school and stuff but heres whats gone on so far. The front bumper is off [:@]yea i only broke like 20 of the freakn bolts. This thing is rusty but its been a midwest car since its 1st owner and always drivin in the snow and ect. so what can you expect. The bumper will be finished sanded tomarow then will get sent off to paint!!! nothign fancy just the stock all over again thing. The previous owners already had it repainted once but they jsut panted it no sanding or anythign so yea haha its sanded all the way to the plastic. I found a hole in my car under my seat i have pics of it!! pretty tasty. I found about 20bucks! in change under the carpet of my car and a recept to mcdonalds in 1995 I WAS 5 BACK THEN. Im working now on cleaning the interor and finding out what i all need to order like the new door panels. DOES ANYONE KNOW WERE I CAN ORDER THE MATERIAL THAT IS USED FOR OUR CARS THE BLACK STUFF LIKE ON THE DOOR PANEL? PLEASE HELP ME FIND IT. My ram air is also being started to slowly be built!

that hole looks nice, i have a big dent in the floor that only seen from under the car because some idiot put one jack in the middle of the car and tried to jack it up [sm=bomb.gif][sm=boosign.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif].
you can probably get the trim from people that are parting out their cars

Dude, take the time to block sand the plastic bumper with 800-1000 grit (plastic not paint), it will take a while but the investment will be well worth it when paint is put on, being able to see the reflection from bumper will show quality of prep work

I block sanded it for about a day but then found out that it went rad paint primer more red paint then primer again. So im getting it done to the last amount of primer or plastic then hand sanding it really fine. After i get the bumper painted and some money flowing threw again since my 4wheeler is about sold ill hopefully find that black stuff that our cars have all over them that looks like fake leather to me on the interoir and door panels and get that redone.

I finally got to drive my stealth today after like almost 4 months of it jsut sitting there under a cover. It died 3 times on the high way and acouple when i pulled back into my drive way. Proly cuz its outa gas haha it has been 4ever. The belts sqeaked a lil but the ladies thought it was sexy haha expecially since i didnt have my front bumper cover on. The tranny acts like you pop the clutch every time you shift becuase its pretty much empty on fluid it also needs a oil change badly its like 5k miles over not my fault though. The paint is coming along and the rims i think go well with it and that they will look good once i lower its 2 1/2 inches haha atleast.

So we looked at my car again today and we are pretty sure we are gunna have to yet again yes thats right #5 get a new tranny. When i changed the oil there were metal shavings in it not muhc but still. The cooling fans were going nuts when i turned my car on on minute they were full blast the next the were off and so on. I tried posting pics last night and they didnt work so hopefully i can get sum soon. Anyone know any info about our crappy auto transmissions? If i do need to rebuild it its getting a highstall t.c. a lsd, shift kit and end cluitch kit. Also my engine dies when you put my car in reverse and drive what causes that?

does it die if you put it in first? I would think it's probably the tranny messed up, but i could be wrong
