Okay I just got the car back and the door shuts but doesnt lock(it will open when i pull on it). Do you know how I can fix this because the mechanic is now closed for the weekend?

cant fix what u dont know whats wrong. so it wont lock then?could be the door lock accuator is unpluged or broken wire.

The switch on the door stays closed when I close the door which results in banging. When I put the switch in the open position and close the door it doesnt go into the lock position on the contact it just staws open. The door is a manual lock.

ahhh is this your first chrysler car? u want the doors to lock themself when u close the door??? that does not happen even with power door locks. U have manual locks

No the door wont close when i shut it the switch will not turn over on the contact the door stays wide open. I think I need a new switch do you know how long it takes to install that part?
