Just bought a 2002 Stratus R/T 4 days ago and a problem has arisen[:@]. In Ohio both license plates must be mounted, but I find no place to to mount my front license plate and was wondering if there's a special bracket or something I could buy. I dread the thought of having to drill holes to mount the damn plate

I'm sure it is like most of the chryslers and it is a bracket that screws onto the bumper cover or directly to the bumper. A dealer should be able to get it or call a junkyard in NY or another dual plate state.and get one from them.I had a similar situation with a caravan I bought a few years ago, but had thelicense plate holderfrom another another van to scarf. Good luck and don't sweat it, it just screws through the plastic bumper cover.

 

There are no holes to screw anything into...period, just really hope no drilling has to be done[:'(]. Thanks for the reply.

drilling may be optional depending on what kind of mounting screws you use. (I honestly cant which i used to mount mine) My recomendation is to measure the placement from another stratus and just mimic it's placement.. You'll do fine.

 

You should be able to buy a kit from the dealership that willhave everything you need for the bracket. I think there are screw holes on the back side of the bumper that the kit will bolt to.

 

Just received an e-mail from the dealership parts department and they do have a bracket that I can purchase at cost. Thanks for the replies[sm=smiley20.gif]
