Default 99 Stratus - persistent brake noise

I have a persistent brake noise (squeak). I have replaced the brake pads and still have the most horrible brake squeak.....anyone have any suggestions as to what the cause may be?

Is it coming from the front or the back? I hadthat problem with my rear drums and it seemed to be caused by the fact that the shoes were not greased where they contacted the wheel flange. This resulted in a horrendous high-pitched squeal at low speeds (coming to a stop). I realized that one of the oblong rubber plugs was missing and letting in debris and water which probably quickly dried out the grease. Once I lubed the shoes, it seemed to fix it.

i'm with t-boy. some, but not all, new pads come with a small packet of grease. this grease is to be put on the back (non-contact) side of the pads. while this will not stop the high freq vibe (that makes the noise), it sure sounds a lot better. if yours didn't come with any just use some HIGH temp anti-seize. hope this helps, let us know.
