I have a 99 stratos with 2.4 I am having problems with the computer or computers or maybe a harness.
I am have problems with the car running hesitates when taking off.I put on computer its says egr system failure. I had the egr valve and selinoid checked and all is working. I also got a code say that there is no message between the the computers. I was looking up the computers and there are 2(if i am mistaken please correct me)the engine computerand the interior and exterior computer(gauges). My question is which one is controlling the egr silinoid. I am also having problems with door locks andthe gauges do I need to replace both computers andcould theharnessbe the problem also. I am about to give up and trade it off. Anyand all help would be appreciated. Thanks

take it to the dealer or to some one that has an expensive scanner that will be able to talk to more then just OBD2 stuff.
U have up to 6 computer on your car dependong on what trim level u have and stuff to control. Not to worry a new mini van has up to 23 different ones =). Need to find out if u have a PCM commucation issue or another computer bus issue taking down the commucation.
