02 Front bumper removal help
I bought my 2002 sedan with a large dent in the corner of the front bumper. I've removed the tire and the panel on the driver's side to try and pop out the dent from inside the bumper, but the battery is in the way. Short of drilling a hole in the dent and pulling it out, I'll have to take off the bumper to pop out the dent. There are several plastic rivets on the top and bottom of the cover.
I know next to nothing about rivets, should I break themand buy replacements (and where can I buy them/what size do I need?) or is there another way to remove them?

are they ever a pain in the A$$? the middle part of the rivet pulls out (they are 2 parts). i just replaced my batt and resued most, a couple were to jacked up and wouldn't work. the under part of the bumper may need to be replacecd to give it some support but, i'd try just puttinga stick or some other small object in and pushing the bumper back out, should pop back out to almost the factory shape. the paint will be jacked up, still it will look batter that the dent.
