Hello;

I have got a 1997 Plymouth Breeze (same as Dodge Stratus). The on/off switch for the air conditioner/heater blower motor is not working properly. The switch has four stations (i.e. 1 - 2 - 3 - 4). It works on the 4 (or high) setting. The blower motor won't run on either of the 1 through 3 settings.

I had a mechanic repair the switch three months ago. It was doing the same thing then as it is doing now. It was my understanding that the mechanic installed a new part three months ago. All four stations on the switch worked after he made the repairs.

The switch just quit working again. I would return the car to the mechanic but I lost trust in him over a different issue.

Does anybody have any idea what could be causing the switch to work on the 4 setting but not work on settings 1 through 3?

Thanks.
