Hi all

I have a '99 Stratus 2.4L 24valve that has a shift button problem. It sometimes will not "click" into place after changing gears, but doesn't seem to affect the car's operation.

It started not too long after I took it into my local Chrysler dealer for a recall fix on something to do with the shift area of the car.

Any ideas as to what is causing the problem?

Take the car back to the dealer and have them adjust the interlock cable. Just tell the key isn't coming out of Ign when you put the car in park.

Should I tell them that I suspect the interlock or just tell them my problem? I did have a few times in which I couldn't remove the key from the ignition when it was in park.
