you have to go by how many gallons you put in your tank, cause in only put like 12 or 13 in mine when my light goes off. not 16.9

Wal Mart does oil changes? They must not have that up here (in the Northeast) because I've never heard of it. I still change it myself because I will be the one to blame if something goes wrong and not have to deal with some other place or the stealership. Plus I don't mind doing it - I can do it for less than $15.

Also, one caveat, when taking your car to get the oil changed, ask them if they replace the filter as well. Some places with cheap oil change rates do just that - they change your oil and not the filter.

I was actually thinking the same thing. I don't think I've ever spent under $20 for a filter and oil.

Lol I get like 25 miles to the gallon average.. and thats with me stepping on the throttle a good bit...

I've been testing out synthetics with my car... Right now I've got Castrol in my car, but I think I'll return to either Mobil 1 or Valvoline SynPower... I don't think my car cares for the Castrol too much..... And each time I use a Fram Tough Guard Oil Filter...

Where ever you go, make sure that when they change your air filter, that they actually unscrew the bolt that tightens the clamp around the air filter's intake tube. I was having mine done at Jiffy Lube. When my boyfriend taught me how to do my own, we found out that they just pulled it off then jammed it back on. So the rubber gasket inside the hose was bent. It wasn't fit together the way it should. So, now I don't go back to Jiffy Lube. I do it myself. It is pretty easy to do! (not that I have to worry about it on my stratus any more) As for walmart - never had a problem there. Always get my tires done there, even after my sister's came off - that's why there is the disclaimer at the bottom to tighten your lug nuts after so many miles.
