Default Stratus Headlights are very dim

The headlights are so dim on my 97 Stratus that it makes night driving very difficult. I am considering putting in different headlight bulbsand buying a kit to remove the corrosion from the headlight lenses. Any suggestions on which bulbs are better and what to use on the corrosion of the headlight lenses. I called Pepboys and they have the Silvania Ultra bulbs for $49 a pair and a kit from CCP for $10 to clean off the headlight lenses. Anybody have any experience with this problem or some solutions?

I got some of the plastX polish to do my headlights and some 1200 grit, it was the finest they had, but mine aren't that bad so i tried just the plastX polish it helped a lot, if you buff it in with a damp rag it works quite well
