well, i've reached my breaking point and expertise with this car. 1998 stratus es 2.5 v6
i put in the new egr valve and new cap and checked the spark with my spark tester and all seems fine,spark wise. the car runs like crap and there's absolutely no power. it act's like it's running on 1/2 of the cylinders. but no codes and no actual missing while driving it, only at idle and when i put it in gear. is there a way to check and see if the catylitic converter is clogged? could this be my problem? i have new fuel pump,fuel filter, reman distributor,new egr valve ,plugs ,wires,cap and rotor. the original problem started when it killed on my Daughter and my mechanic neighbor friend told me it was the fuel pump,no pressure on his gauge. i had him put in a new fuel pump,fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor,valve cover gaskets.any ideas or suggestions thanks Randy[/align]

 

did u get the o2 sensor checked?

 

Does it have power when cold? Let it cool down and then start it and start driving it right away and see if there is any difference before the engine get warm/hot.
