I need help. Car will not start. Turn the key on and I have power to everything. Turn the key to start and nothing, just a click sound. Like the starter relay is working? Just bought the car... Oh yeah 2000 dodge stratus.. 4 cylinder.
Battery??? Starter??? Relay??

well, check the relay first, of course. Then go through the whole system that starts it, including all your spark plug wires and plugs themselves, though if it's not making any noise except for a click, it's probably before them. So definitely check the starter motor.

 

I believe its the starter. I still needd to check the fusible link from the ignition to the starter but I think its the starter..
