All,
Many moons ago I owned a 1st Gen `95 Strat 2.4L Auto, which I put 160,000+ miles on after purchaing it with only 15 miles on her new! I have the fever again, I am looking for another 1st Gen, with a 2.4L (or maybe 2.5L if fuel economy is similar) and I was wondering what the consensus would be for the best year model to look for? I would also like to know which is better, standard or auto...I would prefer a standard this next go around if I can find one.
Discuss? I would sure like some input, as I have not owned a Strat in some time...

I got a '00 2.5v6 auto. 145,000+ and it runs really good. Not sure about which YEAR is best to get, but the v6 does a fair ammount worse on gas compared to the 2.4 auto my friend had. there supposidely isn't much noticable power difference. I would personally try to find the 2.4 in a manual. Anyone else out there know what/if things were fixed going up in years, or if things were changed (for the worse?) as they got newer?
