help! How to pressure test fuel line on a 2001 stratus r/t ?
Hi! I am new here and just registered, I have a 2001 dodge stratus r/t automatic with the 3.0 and after it warms up it dies everytime you come to a stop. the engine code reads as a "random misfire" someone told me to pressure check the fuel line and see if it's putting out enough pressure to see if that is the cause. Normaly there is a little nozzle on the fuel rails where I can hook up a pressure gauge but I can't find one anywhere on this car, does anyone know if and where the nozzle is IF there even is one? and if not how would I go about checking it?
random misfire is normally electrical... plugs, wires, cap, rotor ... Do you have the check engine light currently on ??? or was this a stored old code ???
to me it sounds more like it will not idle properly when warm ... Idle air Control ect are more likely then fuel issues....
I'd get a can of seafoam and clean out the intake tract , then get back to us ...
