Question What The &%$#!!!!!

O.K. here is the scenario...
Did just a basic tune up on a 2002 R/T 3.0 Litre.[LIST][*]new plugs[*]plug wires[*]valve cover gaskets[*]plug gaskets[*]intake gasket (Twice only cause I have taken the intake off 3 times)[*]and a new throttle body gasket
after I did the tune up the car was running like poo! I thought that it had to be a plug switched in the firing order... Sure enough I had 1 & 5 swapped (blame it on mental exhaustion) So I put the wires back on in the correct firing order and what do you know it is running worse... Almost like it has a vacuum leak. Checked for that by spraying some ether by the intake but it did not affect the idle speed (if you want to call it that) I have hit a wall, I have checked the firing order off of the distributer about eight or nine times (no joke) I am at the end of my rope!! Any advice is appreciated greatly

Have you check the cap and rotor? I had a small crack in my cap last year.

I dont think that it is the egr the car was running perfect before I touched it.
As for the cap and rotor I did turn off the lights and let it "run" in the dark and i did not see any sparks or miss fire... Is there a better way to check it? I really need to get this car going. Thanks for your imput Nate & Venge!

He means did you reinstall the EGR valve when you were done. I forgot about it when I did a friends valve cover gaskets. Make sure all the plugs and lines are hooked up. The plug wires are numbered, as is the distributor cap. As the for the firing order, I believe it is:
1 3 5
2 4 6

Looking from the front of the car towards the back.

you have to disconnect the egr to remove the plenum to do the rear plugs ...
if there is a leak it's unmetered air causing poor idle ... I've also seen the tubing bend crack or split ...causing the same result
