Default Blower Motor HIGH only

The blower moter works only in HIGH in my fiancee's dodge Stratus 1999.... I do not know what could be the problem, the relay,? maybe....

but which one it is... in the owner's manual does not say anything about that blowe motor relay....

I need help, it is to hot in my car... What and Where in my fiancee's car is the problem?

there was a TBS about this. It is caused by the resistor board inside the tempature control unit itself.

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor. It's located under the right side dash area and mounts on the bottom of the heater box.

replace blower resistor it is held in by 2 5/16" screws 8mm will work to lower dash right side.

The replacement blower motor resistor for my 2003 Stratus looks considerably different than the original. I had to carve out the plastic mating connector under the glovebox, but so far everything is working well. I hope this new one lasts longer than the original, which looks like a flat metal plate. I understand this is a weak spot on these cars.
