My stepson has a '01 Stratus and he was making a right hand turn and heard a crack in his steering wheel or column. After that the air bag light was on and he said the wheel turned harder. I haven't looked into it yet, so I was hoping someone out that maybe ran into this already and can kick me in the right direction. Thanks

 

clock spring. it's located under the steering wheel and provides electrical connections for the horn and air bag. does the horn still work?

you can replace it yourself. MAKE SURE you disconnect the batt and WAIT 1/2 hour. if the air bag goes off with your head next to it, IT CAN KILL YOU (or toss a socket through your brain). the reason you want to wait is to dischage any capacitor that may hold a charge, then treat it like a norm wheel.
