Hi im new here. We have a 99 stratus 2.0l and the transmisson went out or i belive so! i jacked the front off the ground and put it in drive and it gose sometimes and other times it dosent do nothing and makes a werid sound also the reverse is none. So i think im going to have to buy a used transmission to throw in this. 1st ? is it hard to swap trannys in these and 2nd is there some where online that sales these used for a decent price cause its my g/fs car and we dont have alot to spend. we only paid $750 for the car about a year ago and it only has around 40k miles on the swaped motor but 168k on transmission.
