Question Laptop to tune ECU

Is it possible to hook a laptop up to a stock ECU and reflash/tune it? I know the cables and program for the computer probably wont be cheap, but its something I wanna try playin around with if it is possible

Thanks for any help,
Mike

Everything I read says that the newest stock Eclipse ECU (coupe uses the Eclipse ECU right??) that can be programmed is the '95 with the EEPRom chip plugged into it. That chip can be re-programmed with a PRom reader/writer (old school computer stuff!)
I have even looked at an odbII cable to laptop, and all I come up with is cables to aftermarket ECU's. This is looking like a dead end, but if you happen to stumble on something, I'm sure the other guys 'round here will be happy to know

You need the Tactrix cable and a good bit of knowledge. There is a free program for the ECU flash but I forget the name. There were people on 2gstratus and club3g flashing ECUs as a service but not anymore.

Tactrix cable is about $100
