Got it back from the shop --for an inspection-- and they told me that the exhaust manifold was cracked (which I hear is common in those). He told me that those are so difficult, which I believe, that it would take hours and hours. He told me that they spend a lot of time just looking at their tools, trying to figure out what tool to use next because its so difficult.

How long does it take? I am sort of a quasi-back yard mechanic--rebuilt the motor in my 86 Bronco with the aid of a mechanic friend of mine. I do know the manifold is difficult to get to as I can't even hardly see it. I no longer have access to a lift, so that is an issue too. They also said my power steering pressure hose is leaking...another thing which they reported was a pain in the a**. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
