Heater wire mix-up?
Hello, got a stumper for anyone who wants a good challenge???
we have a 2005 Stratus, everything works perfect, including the heater...
( unless the headlights are on ) then it only blows COLD air. turn off the lights, and bam, the heat is very hot again???????? any thoughts?
thanks for your time.

Hello.... still have your problem? don't frett too much! not real common but has happened to a few stratus and sebrings. the heater control assy. has shorted out.
it's not the load pull from the lights that activate this problem, but rather the items that "light" inside the heater control unit that pulls the ground from the control unit causing the door relay to shut, turning off the hot air supply. replace the unit, about 150 new or around 60 bucks on ebay. hope this helps! have a great day.
