Default High Beam Indicator on Dashboard stays lit

Among other things with the headlights, occassionally, the high beam indicator stays lit on the dashboard no matter how many times I click them on/off.

Additionally, it appears as if the high and lows seem to alternate on the left and right sides (driver side - high, passenger side - low).

I have replaced the bulbs countless times - and the driver side aint easy!

Is there some sort of sensor or relay that is the issue? If so, what can I tell the mechanic to have him focus his troubleshooting?

Thanks -

Actually sounds more like a bad ground. It should be the same relay for both sides.

Please post your vehicle information: Year, Trim level, engine, mileage, and if '01+ coupe/sedan. They are very different cars, so this information is critical to know.
