I was driving last night and hit a bump and heard a loud knocking sound from the front drivers side tire area. It isn't doing it every time I hit a bump but it does it quite often. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

 

It souds like somthing in your control arm like a bushing or such had the same problem but every time I stopped

 

Well I took my wheel off a few days ago to see if i could see anything loose or broken, which i didnt, and now it doesn't make the sound anymore. At least it hasn't yet. I'm going to be taking it to a shop this week just to be sure. I need to have my rear shocks checked out anyways. They've been squeaky since i bought the car almost a month ago.
