dohc engine transmission problems.

Today my 2.0l Dohc engines transmission slipped. I got another Dohc engine that is a 2.4l with the transmission attached. Can i swap the transmissions or will the 2.4 not fit on the 2.0?? both trans are automatic. Thank you for the help.
