Default superchargers

HI all, I found that a 2.4L 4cylinder is the exact engine in a 2000-2004 mitsubishi eclipse. so all of the applications will work for my 2004 2.4L 4 cylinder stratus sxt. My question is which will give me the most horsepower gain(unless they are the same)a supercharger or a turbocharger. And my other question is...is an electric supercharger any good. or should I just stick with paying a few thousand bucks for one? even with a 20-40 whp gain with the electric supercharger? Thanks

electric superchargers wont get you 20-40 imaginary hp let alont whp...while i have met people who insist they got big gains from an electric turbo, i had one for free and took it off...it was faster than stock, but i think my CAI does more...i have even met someone who insisted that they got 32hp from one, on a dyno..but it simply isnt true.

I was interested in the same thing because I found one on ebay for $80 and my main concern is if it is forcing that much more air wouldn't that drop your MPG?

About the only electric turbo Ive seen worthy of study/consideration is the one from Thomas Knight.

I gues he developed most of it while driving an Avenger?
