Default Starter!!!

i have to change the starter on my wifes 01 stratus R/T this weekend. It looks like a real pain to get to. If anyone has replaced the starter before and could give me some tips on the best way to do it...that would be great. THANKS!

ALLDATA---- WWW.ALLDATADIY.COM
Thay sell subscriptions to just about every vehicle. They are the actual Shop Repair Manuals. One year is about $15, five years about $36, I think.

it says that it's 27 for 1 year for the first vehicle and $17 per each additional vehicle. I own a lot of cars... it would cost me a fortune for this. yikes.

You might as well have shown him a picture for a Lamborghini; thats about how helpful it is.

On the 3.0 V6, the starter is right behind the front exhaust manifold. If i recall correctly there are 2 bolts holding it to the transmission. Remove the heat shield on it, then unbolt the wires that go to it, unbolt the 2 bolts, then, for the fun part, getting it out. Its kind of wedged by the mid pipe but once you find the sweet spot you can get it out.
