my third brake light works but the two others do not. i changed bulbs n still nothing. any ideas?

 

All of the stop lamps go to a common junction. Get a voltmeter and make sure you are getting voltage to the side lamps when you step on the brake. This is the center of the socket. Its a white/tan wire. If it is there your ground connection is bad.
If it not there you have lost connection at to the common junction.
