Thumbs up Wheel bearing hub and codes?

I have a 2002 stratus sxt with 90,000 mi. under it's hood. For about 8 months it had the dreaded check engine light lit. The codes were P-1684 (battery disconnect) P-0445 (small evap leak) and P-0442 (large evap leak). Well, I tried everything, gas cap replace, purge solenoid replace, checked hoses etc. It would always come back (CEL). Well after all that I just thought I'd live with it that way. Well, my car developed a low growl on the passenger side. After researching this forum, i decided to replace the wheel bearing hub (2hrs. work). After replacing the wheel hub, guest what! No more CEL!!! Now it could be that I had the battery disconnected for 2hrs,but I tried that before the wheel hub replace, or it could be the result of the heat in the steering knuckle because of the bad bearing(effecting the wheel speed sensor). I don't know. But that my story and I'm sticking to it. Anyways it drives like new with the new hub! Thanks for all those who post wise advice ekneyr216

FYI- Speed sensors are in the transmission, and unhooking the battery will reset the ECU. In a few days watch out for the CEL to come back on.
